Here’s something I never saw coming!
I removed the bandaids from my fading tattoo today and the raw-ish area was covered with cat hair!
I was thoroughly grossed out, as anyone would be, and at first I couldn’t figure out how it happened since I keep the area covered with bandaids at all times, except in the shower. I also change the bandaids daily, because the Nuviderm instructions advised it, and I do everything those instructions tell me to do. (When dealing with anything that affects the body like this, a person would have to be NUTS not to obey even the most insignificant-seeming instruction!) (I’ve said before and I’ll say it again: as long as you follow the Nuviderm directions to the letter, you shouldn’t have the slightest problem, but if you’re a person who doesn’t like to follow directions, you’re going to have problems with anything you touch. ) (And you’d deserve them, too!)
Anyway, back to the cat hair.
I just couldn’t figure out where it came from. That is, until I opened the linen closet a few hours ago and saw the little nest my two hairy cats had made, in there.
The cat hair came from the TOWELS!
Needless to say, half my towels are in the dryer as I type, and the other half are in the washing machine. Yuck.
So, if you’re removing a tattoo with any kind of removal cream or process, or if you have ANY kind of “sticky” place on your skin, be sure your pets aren’t sleeping and shedding on your towels.
